Based on actual visit

On Friday, November 5, 2009, I visited the apartment listed at http://www.xxxxxxxxxx, and physically located at xxxxxxxx, Buttes aux Cailles, Paris
Observations
- Rue Bernard Martin is a relatively quiet one lane, one-way street.  The back of a large church, Saint Anne de Buttes aux Cailles, is about a half-block away. I listened for bells from about 10:50 to noon but did not hear anything. 
- The exterior of the building and other nearby apartments appear well-maintained.
- Adjacent to the building is a passage (alley) for vehicles and pedestrians, that can be glimpsed from the stairs, and there is a partial view from the bedroom.
- There is NO ELEVATOR and it's 3 floors up.  Carefully consider your fitness and luggage-carrying capacity!
- Two firm loveseats open to beds. Living room gets ample light. Linens are kept in the armoire. TV, phone and internet provided.

- Bakery and pastry shop just across the street.
-
 Family-run cafes, restaurants and shops nearby, patronized mostly by locals.
- Place d'Italie and major shopping center less than 10 min. walk: department stores, electronics, large supermarket; SNCF train ticket outlet.
- Bus lines 57 & 67 just steps away.
- Metro lines 5,6, and 7, and buses 27, 47,62, 64, and 83 at Place d'Italie.

Summary of Findings:
The listing for this apartment appears to accurately and fairly represent its location, condition, furnishings and amenities. The price listed is 1500 e/mo, a good value.
